Ministry: Oil refineries to raise gasoline output by 3.6 mln tns

MOSCOW, Apr 13 (PRIME) -- Russian oil refineries will raise their combined gasoline output by 3.6 million tonnes a year and diesel fuel output by 25 million tonnes a year under the investment agreements signed with the Energy Ministry, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

On Monday, Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin said that the ministry signed agreements on investment in upgrading capacities with 14 refineries, under which the companies will receive an investment markup to the reverse excise on the crude they will use to build new facilities for deep oil refining.

“The launches of these capacities will have a significant positive impact on the internal market. In particular, they will allow it to increase output of K5 environmental class automobile gasoline by more than 3.6 million tonnes per year, and to raise production of the K5 environmental class diesel fuel by more than 25 million tonnes per year,” the ministry said.

The ministry signed the agreements with the Moscow refinery, the Omsk refinery, Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez, the Afipsky refinery, Orsknefteorgsintez, Taneco, the Nozoshakhtinsk oil product plant, the Ilsky refinery, Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat, the Novokuibyshevsk refinery, the Syzran refinery, the Tuapse refinery, the Komsomolsk refinery, and the Antipinsky refinery.
